2018 Reflection

2018 has come and gone...
At the beginning of this year God gave me a word to speak over 2018.  Victory.

At the time, I was in a place where it looked as if there was no hope.  I couldn't see a solution to the situation I was in.  The devil wanted me to believe it was all my fault.  That I wasn't, and never would be good enough.  He wanted me to think that I was stuck.  Where I was, was where I had to stay.  I would always be rejected no matter where I went.
The night of New Years Eve, my family and I were on our way home from some friends house, when God whispered to me, "Victory.  I want you to proclaim my victory over 2018".

Has this been an easy year?  no.  Has it been a year of victory?  By the grace of God, yes.  He used music to bring victory for me this year.  I met and bonded with so many new people because of a shared love and passion for making music.  God has blessed me with way more than I could have imagined.  A family who supports and stands with me no matter of how broken or messed up I am, connections with new people, re-connecting with old friends, a school to spend my senior year, several amazing music opportunities... Where I had come to believe I couldn't succeed, Jesus stepped in and said,  hey. remember I'm always here.  With Me, anything is possible.  And this is not where the story ends.  Your story still has chapters to unfold.

I can't wait to see what the next chapter holds for me.  Lets go 2019!
