Day 9!

Day 9

Today was a completely chill day at home!  We played games, coloured pictures, house cleaned, and a load of other random fun things.

Tonight the parents were invited out for supper, so it was kids pizza party night!   Watching a movie, flips, (for the boys) popcorn and more cleaning. :)

And at the end of the day, I got to hold and feed baby Evelyn... <3<3

Goodnight everyone!  Happy Easter!

Day 8!

Today, (yesterday actually:p)  the fam went and did some zip lining in the mountains!  I wasn’t able to go as a result of feeling under the weather, so I don’t have pictures. :(  I do have a few of the guys launching some oranges into the desert! Other than that, it was a chill day.

Until later...

Day 7!

Day 7

Today we had a busy/relaxing day.  If you know what I mean :)  first we packed a lunch, and went to the beach.

And this is Peaches.  Our cousins dog.

After the beach we went home, (I took a nap:) and then went to the Ranch! (The orphanage)  and I had the privilege of spending two hours playing with the kids!<3. We played duck duck goose, hide and seek... and had lots of giggles and laughter. :)

This is Evan.  I got to take care of him 5 years ago (the last time I came to Mexico) when he was just a baby!

And this is Juan.  He was facinated by my watch and HAD to wear it on his wrist for a few minutes. :)

And this is sweet little Kimberly.  Getting to spend time with her was a treat.  And goodness!!  She is just so adorable!!

While I was busy with the kids, the others, along with my the team that is there, and some of the older kids from the orphanage, played soccer!

The food here people....  is absolutely amazing.  The Mexicans know how to make food!!

And.  The coke here is just... quite delish.  The best guys.  Just throwin that out there :)

And of course, just because, we went to DQ for ice cream. :) ;)

Mom and I went shell hunting. :)

Chalise caught a gecko today!

Visited the Orphanage and went out for supper!

Day 5!

Day 5

We got to Mexico today!!  And the excitement/noise/chaos (I say chaos, but it’s a good chaos:) level in the house on a scale of 1-10, would definitely be at a 10!!  We are all so happy to be reunited with my Dads sister and her family, and be able to spend the next week or so with them, having good quality family time together that we don’t get on a regular basis. :)
I did take a few more pictures today, but like I explained previously...  the excitement levels of being here are pretty high!  (And yes, that includes me. :):)  I am elated to be here :) So not a lot, of pictures today, however I believe we’ll probably be doing some activities tomorrow which I’ll snap some pictures of.  However, here are the few for today.

Thank

Yeeaahh soo I tried to take a pic with all us cousins in the vehicle today, buuut trying to take a selfie with 9 other people, in a vehicle driving on Mexican roads... doooesn’t work really awesome! :p.  We tried though! We just makin memories... what can I say! :)

Day 4!

This morning we packed up and left Albuquerque New Mexico at 8:45am.  Our destination for today was to drive the remains 8 hours until the Mexican border.  We are staying the night in Nogales Arizona, and tomorrow we will drive the last length of our drive, (5 hours) and arrive in San Carlos, our final destination!

For today, we didn’t have anything planned other than getting to the hotel, do a bit of shopping and put the outdoor pool to use!  Little did we know the pool was FREEZING cold... (refreshing...) so of course that led up to a whole series of dares swimming across the ice cold water then sliding back into the hot tub.  From doing handstands in the water, to sitting under water for 10 seconds.  They say it’s good for you!
I was going to take pictures of that... buuut I was participating in the dare making/taking, soo picture taking didn’t exactly happen. :p  I’m sure there will be more tomorrow though!

However I did take one today ;)

That was Day 4!  One more day of driving till we meet up with our cousins!

Day 3 of our Mexico Trip

Day 3.

We left Colorado Springs at 8:30 in the morning.  Our plan was to drive 6 1/2 hours,  get to Albuquerque New Mexico, and take a tram up to Sandia Peak!  And wow.  That is all I can really say about this place. There are few words that can describe Sandia Peak.  It is stunning.  10,000 feet above sea level... is amazing y’all.  Seeing what we saw today gives me just a little glimpse of how big and great our God is... WOW.

This is how I feel after hiking a mountain at 10,000 feet where the oxygen is thinner...

Thus concludes Day 3. :)
