Goodbye June!

 So yeah, I did miss some days.  I apologize. :)  This challenge has been fun, and yes, quite challenging for me!  But I have enjoyed it.  Big thanks to Jen for inviting me to do this with her, Mrs. Pauls, and Becca!

Here at home, my sisters and I have been busy preparing for music camp that starts next week. Besides that life in general has been keeping me busy!  As of this past week, this is what happened at the Thiessen home. :)

We had a deck poured at the back of our house!

And...

We are in the process of turning our former garage into a Family Room!!  

I'm really excited about this! :)

This past June, I have learnt and been through a lot.  Some of my highlights would be my sixteenth birthday, getting my learners, preparing for music camp, the girls weekend, and being able to enjoy the summer that 2017 has brought.  

So ya!  God's good, we made it through June, and I am so blessed!

Press On

In the latest chapter of my life, I've been going through many situations that make me ask why. A lot.  "God why is this happening to me?  What am I supposed to learn through these trials?"

Often I have felt like giving up.  Throwing my hands up in the air and scream to the sky that I am done!  I don't have the endurance to stand such circumstances.  But something I have been realizing is, though I may not know what God is doing, and I do not understand the reasons why there are such valleys are in my life, I am still called to press on.  I am still called to trust and praise him through the storm.

The devil has 3 purposes.  To steal, kill and destroy.  The enemy wants me to give up, believe I am not enough, and to be ashamed of what I can or can't do.  But Jesus came to give life.

"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."          Romans 8:28  (NLT)

Therefore I will fix my eyes on him, and praise him. Though the storm threatens to take me down, I will Press On.

Girls Party day 2!

It's day 2 of our girls weekend!  And we're having a blast! :)  

Today for brunch, we had crepes with whipped cream, chocolate, and fruit.

After we went and helped Jen milk.

After all that, we decided, let's do all the girls, hair, makeup, and nails!  I didn't get a lot of pictures of it, but Jen did!

Annual Girls Party!!

So every year, all the guys go on a camping trip!  (The Pauls' family's guys, and my family's.  And usually some other guys). So during this time my mom, sisters and I come to the Pauls house for 2 nights.  It is ALWAYS a blast!!!

Yard Work

Josiah and I are partners in crime when it comes to mowing!   I have the responsibility of making sure all the yard work is done, and is done well.  It's my summer job so to speak. :)  I have always had a thing for outdoor work.  When it comes to trimming trees, mowing, weed eating, basically anything yard work related, I'm usually the first person at it.  That's why Dad made me the "yard manager" this summer. :)  Its great!  And just to make it easier, I have 6 siblings I can make use of!  :)  (its the advantage of being a part of a larger than normal family:)  So ya, that's what I did today.

Peek into Yesterday :)

I was gone ALL day yesterday.  Like for real.  My mom, sibs and I left at 10:30am to go swimming, had lunch in the park then we were off to help my dad finish up shingling a house that we were working on.  Dad, my brothers, and myself got home at 12:30am last night.  And if you know me, I almost NEVER stay up that late!  So that's why I didn't post yesterday!  :)  good excuse, huh? ;)
